Woman Struck, Killed By Vehicle In Canyon Lake
The incident was reported in the area of Railroad Canyon Road and Canyon Lake Drive.
CANYON LAKE, CA — On Monday, authorities were continuing to investigate a weekend traffic crash in Canyon Lake that killed a female pedestrian.
The deadly collision was reported at 10:22 p.m. Friday at Railroad Canyon Road and Canyon Lake Drive.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, when deputies arrived at the area of the busy intersection that leads into the gated Canyon Lake community, they found a woman in the road who had been hit by a vehicle. Despite efforts to save her, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim's identity was not released pending notification of next of kin.
No arrests were announced, and the sheriff's department said neither drugs nor alcohol were suspected crash factors.
