'Zero Tolerance' Sweep Nets 8 Arrests In Lake Elsinore
The operation was conducted Sept. 4-5 with goal of addressing residents' "quality of life" complaints, officials said.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Responding to community "quality of life" complaints, deputies in Lake Elsinore held a citywide “Zero Tolerance” enforcement that resulted in eight arrests Sept. 4 and 5, targeting such criminal activity as trespassing, public intoxication, illicit drug use and petty theft, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department said.
"These crimes are considered misdemeanor offenses and negatively affect the quality of life for community members," deputies said.
The individuals contacted and arrested by the Lake Elsinore Problem Oriented Policing Team were offered resources for homelessness, substance abuse and mental health, the department said.

Among those taken into custody during the operation were:
- Tobin Eversole, 49, Lake Elsinore, suspicion of possession of a controlled substance;
- Alexander Gomez, 40, Lake Elsinore, for outstanding misdemeanor warrants and alleged trespassing;
- Sherman Gray, 41, Lake Elsinore, suspected possession of drug paraphernalia;
- Tracie Guevara, 51, Lake Elsinore, suspected possession of drug paraphernalia;
- Lisa Lopez, 51, Lake Elsinore, for outstanding misdemeanor warrants;
- Sadie Myers, 25, Lake Elsinore , for outstanding misdemeanor warrants and suspicion of trespassing;
- Eric Taylay, 30, Blythe, for suspicion of public intoxication;
- Raymond Theis, 25, Menifee, for outstanding felony warrant and suspected possession of controlled substance.

Deputies reminded residents that if they see or know anyone needing assistance to call the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station, Problem Oriented Policing Team at (951) 245-3300, as "community policing" involves partnerships between law enforcement and community members. Business owners and residents also are encouraged to report suspicious activity by calling Sheriff's Dispatch at (951) 776-1099, or by calling 911 if the matter is an emergency.
