2 Deputies, Driver Injured In Towne Center Collision

LAKE FOREST, CA — Orange County Sheriff's Department reported an injury collision Thursday when trying to conduct a traffic stop, a spokesperson for the Sheriff's Department said.

The crash occurred in the area of Towne Center and Entertainment at approximately 2:30 p.m.

The deputies--a man and a woman--were both taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, according to Carrie Braun of the OCSD.
"The driver of the other vehicle was also taken to the hospital," she said.

California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
