2015 4th July Parade Theme - "Sports Town U.S.A"
Do you think we should have a July 4th celebration following the Parade?

Last night The Parade Committee met and decided on the 2015 theme – “Sports Town USA”.
The theme has two meanings. First it is a plug for the marvelous Sports Park that the City just opened a few days ago. But in addition it’s a tribute to one of the most American of activities – sports. People often say – “What’s more American than baseball?” Occasionally people slip in “apple pie” but usually it’s baseball.
Earlier this year, Parks and Recreation Commission Chairman Jim Rosenberg suggested that after the 4th of July Parade the City put on some sort of activity at the Sports Park – a kind of continuation of the celebration as well as an attempt to move the celebration from the Western part of Lake Forest to the Eastern part.

I thought it was a great idea and inquired if any progress had been made. I was told it was still in the idea stage, so I’m writing this article today to determine if there is widespread interest in this idea.
