Act Now To Help Orange County Moms!

Every year, The Jewelry Box of Lake Forest collects beauty supplies and toiletry items which are then used to create Mother’s Day gift bags. These bags are distributed by South County Outreach to Moms in need, a gift that South County Outreach Executive Director Lara Fisher says makes a real difference. ”These are women who are working hard to provide for their families and these small luxuries are usually things they do without. The Jewelry Box of Lake Forest and their generous clients provide gifts that allow these women to pause and take some time for themselves to renew their spirits. That is something that many people take for granted, but it is very much appreciated by the women in our programs.”

So far, an impressive amount of hygiene and beauty items have been collected, but more will be needed to break last year’s record of 341 bags. “Today’s the last day we’re able to accept donations,” says co-owner Christine Anzell. “So we’re encouraging everyone to do what they can to help out.” Items being accepted for the Mother’s Day gift bags include shampoos, lotions, make up samples and more.
