Amid Tough Courses and Dance Prep, I Landed on the JV Lacrosse Team

Fun with the JV lacrosse team in Palm Springs helps to blur the agony of Algebra II, but now it's time to make my dress for Winter Formal.

Hello again!

Well, I made the JV lacrosse team. I'm a little disappointed, but I know I'll have plenty of fun with all of my friends on the team. My coach also told us that he would rotate JV players to play with varsity every week, so I will at least get some good experience. Also, I just got back from Palm Desert where I played in the Sandstorm lacrosse tournament with my team. Overall, we didn't place very well but I had a ton of fun and got some nice tan lines too!

School continues to drive me crazy. My lowest grade is in Algebra II, and I'm barely hanging on to a B. Math has always been my worst class, but this year it took a major turn for the worse. Even with a tutor, all I can do is stare at my book and wonder what I'm supposed to be doing. Also, the PSAT/College Planning assembly was this week, which gave me about 20 bajillion more things to think/worry about.

At school, all people are talking about is the Winter Formal dance coming up in February. It's a girls-ask-guys dance, so it's up to the ladies to come up with a fancy way to ask boys. I asked my boyfriend Ryan by decorating his truck with balloons and window paint while he was at his lacrosse game. I just bought the fabric I'm using to make my Winter Formal dress, and now I have to start making it. I hope it turns out as pretty as I have in mind!
