Body Found Inside Home That Burned In Lake Forest

The body of a woman was found inside of a Lake Forest home that was on fire late Saturday, Orange County firefighters said.

LAKE FOREST, CA — The body of a woman was found in a home that burned in Lake Forest Saturday evening, authorities said.

The woman's identification was not released pending notification of next of kin, authorities said. Orange County Fire Authority Spokesman Capt. Sean Doran said it was unclear if the woman died from the fire or from other causes.

The cause of death is being investigated by the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

The fire was reported at around 9:55 p.m. Saturday in the 21000 block of Midcrest Drive. It took firefighters just over 90 minutes to put out the blaze inside of the two-story home, according to a previous Patch report.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The extent of the damage to a Lake Forest home has not yet been released by the Orange County Fire Authority investigators.
