Boyfriend Arrested In Suspected Puppy Abuse
An Irvine man was accused of kicking a French bulldog puppy, sending it down the stairs of his girlfriend's home.

IRVINE, CA — A 22-year-old Irvine man was arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty for allegedly kicking his girlfriend's puppy, breaking multiple bones in the dog's legs, police reported today.
Ruiang Zhang was booked on suspicion of felony animal abuse on Sunday morning and released the same day from the Orange County Jail, Irvine police Sgt. Karie Davies said.
A witness alleged they saw him repeatedly kicking the 5-month-old French bulldog, causing the dog to tumble down a flight of stairs at an apartment complex off Bowery where Zhang lives with his girlfriend, Davies said.

Police took the puppy to a local veterinary office for treatment of multiple broken bones in her legs, the sergeant said.
