Power Restored at Bake and Muirlands for Most in Lake Forest
Southern California Edison has resolved the power outage at Bake Parkway and Muirlands, for all but two customers. Here's why.

LAKE FOREST, CA—A power outage in the Lake Forest area of Bake Parkway and Muirlands is mostly resolved. The incident initially began at approximately 11:45 a.m., underground. Approximately 1,346 residences and businesses were initially affected by the outage, according to Southern California Edison spokesperson Susan Cox.
"An failed underground cable caused the initial incident," Susan Cox of Southern California Edison spokesperson said. "All but two customers have had power restored" as of 3 p.m.
The boundaries for the two remaining customers experiencing the power outage are Mosscreek Road to the north and Lake Forest drive to the east, Pinegrove Lane to the South, and Bake Parkway to the west according to Edison.

There is no estimate as to power restoration as of 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8.
The initial incident started at 12:30 p.m., per the Edison Outage page. They are currently working on identifying the problem, and expect to have most of the power back on by 2:30 p.m.
