
The City held a workshop for commercial brokers and property managers on Wednesday and it drew more than 30 people, including real estate brokers, property managers, leasing agents, and an architect. All geographic parts of the City were represented. Mayor Voigts was in attendance as was the Director of Development Services and the Director of Economic Development.
Staff shared some data about the City as well as an overall of programs that are in place to attract new businesses as well as support existing businesses.

So we are in line except with regard to industrial where we trail.
Our unemployment is only 2.6% compared with 3.7% for OC.

There are 3 new hotels being built, bringing our room capacity from 1100 to about 1500. Thankfully all the new hotels are near the 5 Freeway so they shouldn’t bring too much extra traffic into the City.
