Brush Fire Breaks Out Near Santiago Canyon
Fire fighters contained a small blaze near Santiago Canyon Road and the 241 Eastern Transportation Corridor.
A vehicle slammed into a pole on the 241 Tollway today, sparking a three to five-acre brush fire.
A car crashed into a pole, knocking it down, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Jon Latosquin. Police were called at 3:08 p.m.
The fire was contained by 5 p.m., according to OCFA Capt. Steve Concialdi.

The driver suffered minor injuries, Hurdle said.
The CHP closed down the northbound ramp at Santiago Canyon Road, Latosquin said.

No structures were threatened, but the flames were headed for a landfill, according to Concialdi.
