City Council Review - July 19

Here's what happened at the Council meeting last week.

At Tuesday night’s council meeting there was very little on the public agenda, despite the many items that have been unaddressed. Here’s what happened –

BONUS FOR CITY MANAGER

The Council voted to give the City Manager a generous bonus, but for some reason the specifics were not given. I voted against the bonus. I’m still trying to get the specifics and will share with you when they finally appear.

SPORTS PARK FEES

Thanks to Councilman Nick residents of Lake Forest and people who work in Lake Forest will not have to pay fees for using the Sports Park, except for League play.

SPILLOVER PARKING

Councilman Nick and I put this item (parking permits) on the agenda and I submitted a 6 page report on the topic (previously published in The Patch). The Council unanimously voted to move forward and have the staff provide more information on this issue, give it to the Planning Commission to investigate, and then return to the Council with positive recommendations to deal with this problem.
