Coroner IDs South OC Woman After Fatal Rollover Crash

An Irvine woman was killed, her husband and child hurt, in a collision on Sunday afternoon.

IRVINE, CA โ€” A 33-year-old Irvine woman was pronounced dead, and her husband and child were injured in a dramatic rollover crash between two vehicles Sunday afternoon, according to authorities.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Walnut Avenue and Jamboree Road at approximately 5:15 p.m., Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Paul Holaday said.

The vehicle that rolled over, a Mercedes Benz SUV, carried the family that was injured, Holaday said.

Vaishali Bohara was transferred to a trauma center in extremely critical condition and later died at the hospital, Holaday and Irvine Officer Kim Mohr confirmed.

The other two occupants, Bohara's husband and their child, were hospitalized in moderate condition, Holaday said.

The people in the second vehicle, a woman and two children, were uninjured and did not flee the scene, Mohr said.

Though there were no arrests made as of this report, it is not yet known if drugs or alcohol were the cause of the crash.
