Coyote Sightings in Orange County: Irvine Area Reported Attack

IRVINE, CA — On Sunday night a 6-year-old was reportedly bitten on the arm in the park, and the child's father scared the animal away, Andrew Hughan, spokesperson for California Department of Fish and Wildlife, said.

"A coyote was trapped in the area and euthanized Wednesday night, but it is unclear if it was the same animal," Hughan said.

California Department of Fish and Wildlife held a news conference regarding coyotes at Springbrook Park in Irvine.
