Diamonds are Forever But Styles Change Constantly: Discover Jewelry Restyling

The Jewelry Box of Lake Forest is hosting a one-day jewelry restyling event tomorrow, April 14th!

“My Dad doted on my Mom. I mean absolutely doted on her. Every birthday, every Christmas, he gave her a beautiful piece of jewelry. When they passed, this collection was split up between my two sisters and myself,” Jeannie said. “It’s a beautiful legacy, but some of this heirloom jewelry?” She shook her head. “Mom loved it, but it’s a style I could never see myself wearing.”

“Sometimes we wind up with pieces of fine jewelry that for one reason or another, we just don’t want to wear,” says Jack Levenson, co-owner of The Jewelry Box of Lake Forest. “They might not be the right style, or they don’t fit properly. Sometimes people have bridal jewelry they’re no longer wearing, or they have broken items that can’t be worn.”

“That’s when we recommend restyling,” says Christine Anzell, co-owner of The Jewelry Box of Lake Forest. “Why leave perfectly beautiful diamonds and gemstones trapped in jewelry you don’t want to wear? During our 1 Day Restyling Event – this year, it’s Tuesday, April 14th – you can have those stones reset in a beautiful ring, pendant, bracelet or earrings that you actually like and enjoy wearing!”

During The Jewelry Box of Lake Forest’s 1 Day Restyling Event, Joseph Hershon, an expert jeweler who specializes in restyling, brings over 400 dazzling mounts and semi-mounts to the store. “You choose your favorite, and your jewelry is made for you while you wait,” Levenson explained. “It’s a neat experience, and not something you get to see every day.”

“Don’t let changing trends keep you from enjoying your jewelry,” Anzell urged. “We’re encouraging people to sign up for appointments for this special event – just call 949-855-9778 – but if you’re not sure and just want to see what the opportunities exist for your jewelry, come in and check things out for yourself. That piece of jewelry from your Mom could shine again. The perfect setting might be right here, waiting for you!”
