Diary of a Charger: Nothing Like a Burger With Friends to Ease the Pain of Defeat
El Toro High water polo goalkeeper Emily Browning shares her journal for the week ending Feb. 25.

Hey everyone!
What a rough week it has been. After losing our second game in CIF it has been hard to focus on other things because my mind has been flowing with what could have happened if we won. The game was a big disappointment for us, but I have to say we all had an overall good season. I am going to miss this team and this season a lot. We have bonded so much in this short period of time and I feel like they are all my sisters.
On Saturday after our game, the whole team went to In N Out then to one of our teammates house to watch movies. Even though we were all upset, it was still nice to be able to spend time with them and make each other feel better. Later that night I went to Saddleback Church where there was a band playing free called Gungor, they turned out to be really good!
That whole night I felt like I would not be able to be alone without crying about the game, so that night I slept over at my friend's house with a couple of my teammates. It was nice being able to sleep in late that Sunday and then get to eat delicious crepes for breakfast.

Sunday night my high school team got together again and we all went to go see Justin Bieber: Never Say Never. I thought it was a great movie, but I will admit to having Bieber Fever!
On Monday my two other friends and I kidnapped our friend Allison for her 16th birthday. Luckily, we did not have school that day, so we took her to the beach for a picnic. We had a lot of fun, we made hot dogs and a salad for the picnic. The weather was nice, sun was shining, and it did not feel like winter at all. During our picnic we saw about eight dolphins swimming around in the ocean for about 20 minutes, which was pretty exciting. Later that evening I finished up on homework to prepare myself for school the next day.
Nothing interesting has happened at school other than the Dodgeball tournament. This tournament is open for anyone wanting to participate in our school, just as long as each team has at least two girls. Once you play and you lose a game, you are out of the tournament. This is my second year playing and I think my team has a chance of winning the whole thing. My team is full of varsity baseball and water polo players and I think I`m going to have a lot of fun playing.
Until next week,
Emily
