LAKE FOREST, CA — Bungee chairs were all the rage this year, but now the springy seat has been flagged with a defect worthy of recall.

Big 5 retailers have announced that the Captiva Designs bungee chairs with model number AC098 printed on the header cards of the product packages is being recalled, nationally.

The collapsible chair has a navy blue and teal nylon and bungee seat and black metal legs and the chair’s bungee cords are laced through the seat frame.

There have been three reports of chair rivets breaking, including two reports of injuries from falls according to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission.
