Did You Feel it? Earthquake Rattles Lake Forest Awake

An early morning earthquake rattled Lake Forest just after midnight, centered in Placentia, California awake last night. Did you feel it?

LAKE FOREST, CA—Just after midnight, Orange County got a little wake up call. A magnitude 3.0 earthquake shook up parts of northern Orange County today, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The quake struck at 12:17 a.m. at a depth of about 1.9 miles, its epicenter 1 mile northeast of Placentia and 1 mile west-northwest of Yorba Linda, according to a computer-generated USGS report.

There were no reports of damages or injuries.
