Help make a difference by planning activities and excursions, volunteering at City events, and serving as a voice in your community. The committee meets twice a month and interested teens must have gone through registration and an interview to attend.

The Lake Forest Chamber of Commerce and City are hosting a half-day Secrets & Strategies for Business Success seminar for current and prospective entrepreneurs. This free seminar features informative sessions from experts in their given industries. Business owners can visit various business resource booths and form collaborative business partnerships. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. This is a great workshop. Make time for it.

May 12 – Civic Center Groundbreaking (10 to 11 – Indian Ocean Drive)
Join the City as we break ground on a new Lake Forest Civic Center. No RSVP required.
May 13 – Aliso Creek Clean Up (9 am – Cherry Ave and Fernback)
Help fight the battle against litter and debris with the City of Lake Forest and Wal-Mart! Join other Lake Forest residents, community groups and City staff in removing litter from a portion of the Aliso Creek. We will supply the gloves, trash bags, reacher sticks, volunteer shirt, snacks and beverages. Meet at Cherry Avenue and Fernbank Street (southwest of Cherry Park). Park on Cherry Avenue. All volunteers such as service organizations, students, scout groups, Kiwanis, teens and adults are welcome. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. All volunteers must sign a waiver form (below). Please wear appropriate footwear, sunscreen, and a hat.
May 13 - Garden Club Annual Plant Sale (8 am to 1 pm - Lake 1 parking lot)
