Irvine Police believe this to be a family violence incident, in which the adult victims and the suspect were related. However, the victims in this case are not being named at this time, pending identification by the Coroner’s Office, they said.

"Officers responded to the scene Tuesday around 1 p.m. Due to the location’s proximity to Greentree Elementary, the school was placed on a brief lockdown out of an abundance of caution," Irvine Police said. "School proceeded as normal, and the lockdown was lifted before parents arrived for afternoon pickup."
