Irvine Multi-vehicle Collision Turns Fatal for Chino Hills Resident
A 21-year-old man from Chino was killed today in an accident involving multiple vehicles. Two other driver sustained injuries in the crash.

Irvine, CA--A 21-year-old Chino Hills resident was killed in a multi-vehicle collision in Irvine today. Robert Torres, Jr. of Chino Hills was identified by the Orange County Coroner today, following the accident. Two other drivers suffered minor injuries
Irvine Police Department officers and Orange County Fire Authority firefighters responded at about 3:50 p.m. to reports of a collision involving multiple vehicles in the area of MacArthur Boulevard and Campus Drive, according to Irvine police.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to OCFA Capt. Larry Kurtz. Before units arrived, people in the area attempted to perform CPR on the victim, Kurtz said.

The collision prompted closure of the southbound lanes of MacArthur Boulevard at Douglas, police said.
An investigation into the collision was underway, according to police.
