IRVINE, CA—Remote internet surveillance helped catch a vandal and commercial theft in Irvine early on August 4. According to the Irvine Police Department, an Irvine business owner, acting on a call from his alarm company regarding a break in at his Irvine business, was able to use a live video surveillance feed to verify his business was being robbed.

"The owner was able to view the interior of his business to see the suspect walking around inside," the Irvine Police Department released in their report.
That surveillance video led to the arrest of a Laguna Beach resident, according to the Irvine Police Department's statement.

Ryan James Adrig, a 23-year-old from Laguna Beach, was arrested for commercial burglary, vandalism and resisting arrest.
