Lake Forest resident Jake Emery Park was elevated to the rank of Eagle Scout at a ceremony Saturday night. Eagle Scout is the highest achievement rank in Boy Scouting. To achieve this rank, Jake organized a project to help the Pet Rescue Center and provide custom blankets and toys. Not only did he raise enough money to pay for the project, he had several hundred dollars left over to donate to the Center. Director Blythe Wheaton was on hand to praise Jake and tell everyone what a difference his contribution made.
Also in attendance were Jake’s mother, Uncle, and family. More than a dozen local Eagle Scouts were also there to share the moment with Jake.
In addition to excelling in his scout career, Jake is an honors student and maintains a 4.8 GPA. He plays on the Boys Waterpolo and Swim Teams.
