Join United To End Homelessness Cause In Lake Forest
What is homelessness? What is the state of homelessness in Orange County? This month, United Way Orange County will tackle the question.

LAKE FOREST, CA —Homelessness in Orange County has reached crisis levels. The issues that our civic leaders face can raise more questions than answers.
Enter Homelessness 101.
In August, Orange County United Way will educate concerned citizens on what it means to face and endure homelessness, hosted by the Second Baptist Church in Lake Forest.

Other presenters include Tapestry, The Interfaith Council of Greater Rancho Santa Margarita, and The Following. This program strives to combat misinformation and myths that surround the growing problem, according to organizers.
Becky Heyhoe, Senior Manager of United to End Homelessness, will lead the session.

"By the end of the session, you will become familiar with many of the approaches, philosophies, and terminologies associated with Homelessness," a United Way spokesperson said. Their hope is that attendees will gain a better understanding of the homeless system in our community.
