Lake Forest Police Chief Douglas Doyle Moving On
The lieutenant will be recognized at Tuesday's council meeting.
Lake Forest's chief of , Lt. Douglas Doyle, will soon be leaving his post in town when he is transferred to the special investigations unit of the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
The City Council is set to recognize Doyle's service in Lake Forest with a proclamation Tuesday evening. The staff report on the item reads, in part:
"As Chief of Lake Forest Police Services, Lieutenant Doyle created and expanded programs in order to ensure the safety of residents and members of the business community. Lieutenant Doyle’s ability to attract and retain excellent field personnel, high expectations for his staff, and years of experience in the field resulted in a highly successful tenure in Lake Forest. During his service, Lake Forest continued to be ranked as one of the “safest” cities in the United States."
