May The Fourth Be With You: Disneyland Star Wars Style
Make the most out of your May 4th fun! Head to Disneyland Tomorrowland, or ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad for a peek at Star Wars Land.

DISNEYLAND, CA — May the 4th is a day of fun for Star Wars fans across the globe. But there is no better place to celebrate than at Disneyland Resort's Tomorrowland. At opening on the morning of May 4, Disneyland held a Light Saber guest salute, according to a park spokesperson.
There is much for fans of Star Wars to do in Disneyland on May 4th, though Star Wars Land is not yet open. Tomorrowland offers a fun interaction with both the Rebels and the Alliance. See Storm Troopers and have your picture taken with Chewbacca. Try a Light Saber Churro and post your pics to social media with special Star Wars filters. Want to know more? Just ask a castmember.
In Tomorrowland, kids can learn how to use the force to battle Darth Vader, Darth Maul, and other evil foes at the Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple.

"In the reimagined battle experience 'Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple' at Disneyland Park, young guests may discover if they have the makings of a true Jedi and encounter villains such as Darth Vader and the Seventh Sister Inquisitor, from the Disney XD series 'Star Wars Rebels,'" a Disneyland Resort spokesperson said.
On Thursday May 4, the Jedi Training took place at: 10:30 a.m., 11:35 a.m., 12:40 p.m., 2:25 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 4:35 p.m. Disneyland Park was open until 11 p.m. on Thursday.

"The interactive show debuted along with other immersive Star Wars experiences at Disneyland Park, such as Star Wars Launch Bay, Hyperspace Mountain and a new destination in Star Tours - The Adventures Continue," they said.
Hyperspace Mountain is due to return to Space Mountain roots, with the looming of Star Wars Land on the horizon.

Guests can hardly wait to see what awaits at the new Star Wars Land, which will open sometime in 2018, and will include a chance to ride the Millennium Falcon.

Star Wars-themed lands will be coming to Disneyland Park in Anaheim, Calif., and Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Fla., will be Disney's largest single-themed land expansions ever at 14-acres each, transporting guests to a never-before-seen planet, a remote trading port and one of the last stops before wild space where Star Wars characters and their stories come to life.
"These authentic lands will have two signature attractions, including the ability to take the controls of one of the most recognizable ships in the galaxy, the Millennium Falcon, on a customized secret mission, and an epic Star Wars adventure that puts guests in the middle of a climactic battle," a spokesperson said.
Tip: You can get a peek of the Star Wars themed land's progress by riding Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and looking North West at the apex of the ride.

On May 4th, special photo discs and frames that are dated are available, and guests can either hold them or stick their heads through them and take photos to post to social media, the spokesperson said.
Be sure and look for Star Wars themed pins to trade with castmembers, and take a tour through the "Star Wars Launch Bay" for authentic Star Wars memorabilia and movie props.
If you happen to see a Storm Trooper near Star Tours, try your hand at the force by using a Jedi Mind Trick, and see if they'll escort you to the front of the line.
But be sure and visit the Star Wars Launch Bay for your chance to completely geek out.

"In the heart of Tomorrowland, Star Wars Launch Bay is the central locale for guests to celebrate all things Star Wars, Paul Hiffmeyer of Disneyland resort said. "Disneyland park guests are welcomed to this multi-sensory space with the iconic phrase, A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.
Inside Tomorrowland, encounter beloved Star Wars characters, play the latest Star Wars interactive video games, explore galleries full of treasured memorabilia and authentic replicas of large-scale Star Wars artifacts, step into a Star Wars-themed cantina, and have access to Star Wars merchandise.
There are a few special Snapchat filters today that the castmembers will also let guests know about, she said.
Visit Tomorrowland, Disneyland is featuring light and dark side churros (blue or red) and a Chewbacca cheesecake, and there is some limited-release merchandise.
