Missing Lake Forest Teen Found In Portola Hills

LAKE FOREST, CA — A teenage boy went missing in the Foothill Ranch and Portola Hills area of Lake Forest Monday afternoon. He was located approximately an hour later, Orange County Sheriff's Department said.

On Monday, at approximately 2:30 p.m. OCSD officers began an extensive search for the 16-year-old boy.

OCSD Duke Helicopter circled the area from the above while OCSD police services and Orange County Parks officials were on the ground seeking the lost teenager. The broad search area was between Modjeska Canyon and Whiting Ranch Wilderness Park, according to reports.

"The boy was located thanks in part to Orange County Parks," a sheriff's department spokesperson said.
