ORANGE COUNTY, CA — For the second year in a row, Orange County has no plans underway for opening a cold weather shelter for the county's homeless population, The Orange County Register reported.

The news comes after National Weather Service forecasters predicted cold weather this week, with temperatures dropping to the low-40s and 50s at night.

According to the report, the county had provided emergency cold weather shelters most years since 2007 — typically in Santa Ana and Fullerton.
