Paint Your World Purple--Relay For Life Leadership Team to Meet Thursday

Lake Forest, CA--The American Cancer Society's, 11th annual Relay for Life Team Managers--Lake Forest Meeting is Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 6 p.m.

With relay just around the corner, both meetings --event leadership and team captains will be together. The meeting will be held in at Prominence Hotel and Suites, 20768 Lake Forest Drive, Lake Forest, CA 92610 in the meeting room.

The meetings will be each Thursday of this month as we continue to prepare for Relay on July 30 unless posted otherwise. Save the dates: July 21, 6 pm meeting will be at the Lake Forest Sports Park, 28000 Rancho Parkway, Lake Forest, CA 92610 and the July 28, 6 pm meeting and wrap-up before Relay will be at Blytheco, 23161 Mill Creek Dr Suite 200, Laguna Hills, CA 92653.

The meeting is informal. There are no dues or fees. Anyone within the City of Lake Forest or the surrounding area is welcome to join us. Put your talents and skills to work to fight cancer.

So, what is Relay?

American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life is a year-round community fundraising event to combat cancer. Committee members volunteer throughout the year to organize events to raise money, honor our survivors, caregivers and our loved ones we have lost. They plan the 24- hour overnight walk and so much more. There is something for everyone.

Relay For Life Lake Forest is a 24-hour overnight event that will be held at the Lake Forest Sports Park, 28000 Rancho Parkway, Lake Forest, CA 92610 on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 10 am to Sunday, July 31 at 10 am.

The overnight fundraising walk is comprised of teams with 5-15 members that take turns walking the track to raise funds that are used for research, education, advocacy and services. Together we can eliminate cancer and create a world with more birthdays.

Because Relay is a team event, individual participants are not required to be there the entire time. However, it’s so much fun you will want to get caught up in the party atmosphere. The day is packed with entertainment- bands play, face painting, onsite fundraisers, free movies, etc.
