Residents living in City Council Districts 1 and 5 have until 5 p.m. Wednesday, August 12 to file candidacy papers.

The period was extended under California Elections Code Section 10225, because neither district had an elected incumbent seeking re-election.

Nomination papers are available in the City Clerk’s Office at Lake Forest Civic Center, at 100 Civic Center Drive, by appointment only. For information on the election process or to schedule an appointment, call Acting City Clerk Lisa Berglund at (949) 461-3422.
