Photo of the Week: Lake Forest Resident Captures Sunny Side of Orange County

LAKE FOREST, CA — For Lake Forest resident Jared Funk, this photograph says it all about Orange County. Funk captured a moment in time that he feels is "indicative of Orange County life."

Sunshine streaming over mounds of oranges taken in the iconic setting of the Laguna Beach Farmer's Market captured that moment of a small town vibe in the middle of a suburban world of Southern California.

"I took that photo the first time I went to the Farmer's Market in Laguna," he said. "My parents go frequently and I went with them."

The Laguna Beach Farmer's Market has a variety of produce and flowers, but also has the benefit of being close to the beach.

"It's one of my favorite markets to visit, because of the small town vibe and the people in the area," he said.

At the moment, Funk is studying journalism at Humboldt State University in Arcata, California. He captures the majority of his photographs with his Canon t5i.
