GARDEN GROVE, CA — Garden Grove police closed Katella Avenue after a potentially suicidal man called 911, officers said.

On Wednesday afternoon, at approximately 2 p.m., Garden Grove police arrived on the scene of 11000 Homeway Drive to find the caller "holding a knife to this throat," police said.

Officers continued to negotiate, in an attempt to get him to safely leave the residence, and "get him some help."

Three hours later officers announced that the incident had concluded with no injuries, and reopened the roadways.
