Parents often choose The Jungle Cruise as seven minutes of sitting down in the middle of a Disneyland day. But, when your skipper is as engaging as Wallace, you'll find your spirits buoyed as well.
Wallace was selected as the The Jungle Cruise Skipper of the Year by his peers, and can be seen telling old stand by jokes and coming up with new ones at Disneyland Resort.

The attraction opened in 1955 and Wallace is one of the favorite fans of the ride. He recently discussed the little known fact that Walt Disney originally planned on live animals for the attraction.
However, to ensure that all animals would always be awake for the guests, he decided upon animatronics instead.
"We test our jokes out in the jungle, and if some people aren't laughing, than we tell another one," he said. "If you're believing what you are seeing, than the guests are going to have a good time too."
Wallace always dreamed of being a Jungle Cruise Skipper.
"I love making people laugh," he said.
