Seniors Displaced After their Living Center Went up in Flames
Terror for residents of a senior living center in the city of Orange over the weekend. Firefighters aided seniors down ladders to safety.

ORANGE, CA โ A fire at a senior living facility in the City of Orange on Sunday left three injured and many residents displaced.
More than a dozen senior citizens were rescued from their apartment balconies over the weekend when fire broke out in their building in the city of Orange.
The Orange County Fire Authority stated a crew of more than 100 firefighters were dispatched shortly before 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon in response to a five-alarm fire at The Palmyra apartments in the 300 block of South Glassell Street.

Heavy smoke was coming from the second floor.
Reports from CBS2 News state that firefighters rescued a favorite cat, as well as family photos from the devastating blaze. Much of the community was a total loss.

It took firefighters about an hour to douse the flames. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
