School Bus Crash in Lake Forest: 3 Other Vehicles, Major Injuries Involved, CHP Says
A multiple-car collision on Tuesday morning in Lake Forest involved a school bus filled with special needs children, according to CHP.

LAKE FOREST, CA โ At least two people were seriously injured during a collision involving three vehicles and a school bus Tuesday morning in Lake Forest, the California Highway Patrol reports. None of those injured were children on the bus.
"The school bus had seven elementary school aged special needs kids on board, none of which were injured," California Highway Patrol Sgt. Phil Apodaca said. "We got the call just before 8 a.m."
The crash occurred at the intersection of Muirlands Boulevard and Entrados Drive.

A mini-van and two smaller vehicles were also involved. Three of the people in those other cars were injured, including one adult and one 17-year-old, both with major injuries, according to Apodaca.
A woman in her late 40s who was driving a minivan involved in the crash had to be extricated from her vehicle, Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Larry Kurtz said.

"A boy about 9- to 10-years-old in the minivan was also hurt, but his injuries were not considered serious," Kurtz added. "A 17-year-old boy driving another car involved in the crash was taken to an area hospital as a 'moderate trauma' patient."
None of the injuries were considered life-threatening, Kurtz said.
Investigating officers were still on the scene of the collision at noon Tuesday. The cause of this crash is under investigation.
