Animal Shelter Alternative Among Topics at Town Hall Meeting Sarturday

Final Town Hall meeting of the year on Saturday

The final Town Hall meeting will take place on Saturday, Dec 12, at 2 pm at the El Toro Library. The purpose of the Town Hall meetings is to give citizens an opportunity for some give and take with an elected official and to express their opinions about local issues. Some of the suggestions coming out of these meetings have been introduced into the City’s agenda.

In addition to giving residents an update on what’s happening and addressing questions, if we have some time I hope to discuss alternatives to using the County shelter. The City recently reported that the city owned properties cannot be used for an animal shelter, and my colleagues (Voigts-Robinson-Hamilton) voted to stop the staff from spending any more time looking for alternatives, even though there is still time before we have to commit to the County. So this is an opportunity to do some creative problem solving.
