· Jan 28 – Soroptimists “Make a Blanket” event (Lake 1 Clubhouse – 6 pm)

The Soroptimists are at it again. This time they will make blankets to help the homeless here in Lake Forest. We have almost 60 people in our City who have no homes, and with the rain and cold weather, blankets will be a great help. This is a fun event.

· Jan 29 – Kiwanis (7:15 to 8:15 – Mimi’s Café)

Kiwanis International does so many good things for the City it’s hard to list them all. Get involved in this great club where you can help the City’s children.

Jan 30 - Town Hall Meeting (2 to 4 pm - Foothill Ranch Library)

This is my quarterly open meeting. It’s your chance to meet with a City Councilman, tell me what’s on your mind, join with others in problem solving, etc. Often the issues and ideas that come out of these meetings show up[ on the City Council agenda. Participate in old time democracy the way it was originally envisioned.

· Feb 2 – Office Hours (4 to 6 pm – City Hall )

Got a problem with the City. Come by and together we’ll try to get it solved. Or maybe you have some suggestions about ways we could do a better job.

· Feb 2 - City Council Meeting (7 pm – City Hall)

It can be more entertaining than Tuesday night TV. Come by and make your needs and desires known.

· Feb 5 – Kiwanis (7:15 to 8:15 – Mimi’s Café)

· Feb 8 – 4th July Committee (6 pm - Sports Center)

The 4th of July Parade is one of our City’s best events and this is your chance to be a part of it. Come by and join 40 Lake Forest leaders in shaping this years 25th Anniversary parade.
