Voigts and McCullough are No-Shows

Lake Forest's two incumbents don't show up at TV forum. BLOG

With the election coming up in a few weeks, the good people at Cox joined with the South Orange County Economic Coalition to host a one hour TV forum that will be broadcast later this month. All 8 candidates were invited, but only 6 showed up. The two incumbents, Scott Voigts and Kathy McCullough (pictured above) apparently had better things to do than show up and discuss the future of Lake Forest.

The forum was very interesting and informative. There was the usual portion of lies, hyperbole, and obviously false promises, but there was also some good issues raised. It’s also pretty clear from viewing the tape who is going to defend the status quo and who wants to move the City forward to make it a better place to live.

Because I participated in the forum, there wasn’t much time to take notes, so I will delay any comments until I get the chance to view the proceedings. I’ll post the broadcast times as soon as they are available.
