UPDATED: Woman Killed on Lake Forest Drive Day After Her 26th Birthday
The coroner's office has identified a passenger killed in a crash in Lake Forest.

LAKE FOREST, CA - A 26-year-old woman who was fatally injured when the car she was riding in smashed into a tree at an intersection in Lake Forest was identified today by the Orange County coroner's office.
Jessica Lujan of Anaheim died in the crash at Lake Forest Drive and Jeronimo Road at 3:35 a.m. Thursday, according to Orange County sheriff's Lt. John Roche and the coroner's office. Lujan died one day after her 26th birthday, according to the coroner's office.
"Deputies responded to the scene and found two patients trapped inside a 1964 Dodge Dart that had crashed into a tree," Roche said. "Firefighters freed the two victims and transported them to Mission Hospital."

Lujan died at the hospital and the driver, a 27-year-old man, suffered serious but not life-threatening internal injuries, Roche said. He remained hospitalized today and has not been placed under arrest, Orange County sheriff's Lt. Mark Stichter said.
Sheriff's officials initially suspected the crash was alcohol related, but now investigators are saying the driver is not under arrest.

No other vehicles were involved and no other injuries reported, he said.
