Bank Robbery Reported in Rolando

The robbery on El Cajon Boulevard was reported at 1:30 p.m.

SAN DIEGO, CA: A bank branch located inside a Rolando-area grocery store was robbed Tuesday, police said.

The alleged robbery was reported at 1:30 p.m. at U.S. Bank at Vons, 6155 El Cajon Blvd., according to San Diego police Officer Dan Lasher.

The suspect, described as a 6-foot-tall Hispanic man in his early 20s wearing jeans and a black hooded jacket, reportedly approached a teller, whom he handed a note demanding money. The alleged robber then left on foot, carrying with him an undetermined amount of cash.

No weapons were seen and no injuries were reported, according to Lasher.

The incident is being investigated by robbery detectives with the San Diego Police Department. Anyone with information about the case should call San Diego County Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
