Brush Fire Knocked Down In East County
Crews extinguished the flames within several minutes, fire officials said.
EL CAJON, CA – Firefighters quickly knocked down a brush fire Monday in East County.
The blaze broke out in the 1400 block of Hill Street in El Cajon, adjacent to Interstate 8, according to Heartland Fire and Rescue.
Crews extinguished the flames within several minutes, holding the fire to an eighth of an acre, said Sonny Saghera with Heartland Fire and Rescue.
