Child Found Wandering Alone Near Harry Griffen Park In La Mesa: Police
The 3-year-old girl had walked away from a daycare center, police said.

LA MESA, CA – A toddler found early Monday wandering alone near a La Mesa park had walked away from a daycare center, police said.
La Mesa Police found the 3-year-old girl shortly before 6 a.m. in the area of Harry Griffen Park.
Officers located the child's mother later in the morning and reunited them, Capt. Matt Nicholass told reporters.

The toddler, who was unharmed, was reportedly supposed to be at a child-care facility in the area when she was found, the captain said. He added that investigators were working to determine whether any criminal charges were warranted in the case.
