La Mesa Centennial Flag Day Parade

Visit downtown La Mesa on June 2 for the annual Flag Day Parade.

This year marks a special parade, as it's the city's centennial celebration.

This year's parade theme is ”A Salute to Old Glory!” and the event will feature the La Mesa Middle School Band and East County Youth Symphony at two locations on La Mesa Boulevard in the downtown La Mesa Village.

The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. and marches through downtown La Mesa Village. Spectators will enjoy marching bands led by the United States Marine Corps Band, floats, military vehicles, active and retired war heroes, equestrian units, service clubs and youth groups, plus pre-parade concerts. This years Grand Marshal is Helix Charter High School CIF Division II State Football Champions.

Spectators are encouraged to dress in patriotic attire and cheer on the participants in this Centennial Parade.
