SAN DIEGO, CA - A man in a gorilla mask held up a Walgreens pharmacy store in the Chollas View neighborhood, but was arrested shortly afterward, a police officer said today.

The masked man passed a demand note to an employee at the store on Euclid Avenue near Guymon Street and fled with an undisclosed amount around 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros said.

Officers responding to the robbery spotted the 32-year-old suspect nearby and detained him. He was arrested after being identified by a witness and the loss was recovered, Delimitros said.
