MISSING: Police Search for Del Cerro Woman Who Suffers From Dementia
Jan Mattei, 73, went missing Wednesday morning from the 6300 block of Caminito Estrellado, San Diego police said.

San Diego, CA — Police asked for the public's help Wednesday to locate a missing 73-year-old Del Cerro woman who suffers from dementia.
Jan Mattei was last seen about 10 a.m. Wednesday when she walked away from her home at 6395 Caminito Estrellado in the Del Cerro area of San Diego, according to San Diego police.
The area is near Lake Murray and borders La Mesa.

Mattei is white and has a light complexion, red hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. She was wearing a long-sleeved shirt, black jeans, a white cowboy hat and black cowboy boots.
Police say Mattei left the home while her caregiver was vacuuming the upstairs bedrooms.

"Mattei suffers from dementia and has a history of walking away from the caregiver," police said.
Other than dementia, Mattei has no other known medical conditions.
Anyone who sees Mattei was asked to immediately call the San Diego Police Department at 619-531-2000.
