True to her family nickname “Reb” (short for Rebel), Rebecca Page lived her life by her own rules.
An accomplished hair stylist, she owned and operated two salons in downtown San Diego, sailed on the ship Jezebel for four race seasons and traveled all over the world, including Italy, where she ate and cooked her way through Tuscany during a three-week cooking class.
Page, 60, died May 24 after a long illness.

She was born in San Bernadino, but made the move south and lived in Ocean Beach, Bonita and elsewhere is San Diego before settling in La Mesa.
While operating her salons, she was active in the downtown community, serving on the board of the Gaslamp Quarter Association in San Diego. She also was known for her artistic endeavors, including photography, creative writing, piano, pastel chalk and interior design.

A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, June 5. More information can be found on her announcement.
