We have become so inundated with technology that it almost runs our life, instead of us running it. As a Doctor of Chiropractic, I have good reason to tell people to limit their electronic use. The reason is because people are destroying their spine. I do not take this lightly…

Spending hours a day for months or even years, constantly looking down will destroy your neck. Honestly, incorrect excessive use of electronics is one of the largest health epidemics in the USA right now. The bent forward head posture puts as much as 30 additional pounds of weight on your neck and this stress is leading to spinal structural shifts. These shifts are the tilting or rotating of vertebrae (the bones in your spine) which lead to many secondary conditions including, but not limited to, neurological problems, immune system depression, muscle spasms, headaches, migraines, arthritis, and neck pain.
 
Take Care of Yourself!

Taking care of your neck is very similar to taking care of the rest of your body. Getting a check up from time to time is one thing you can do to make sure things are going well. You know that your body needs proper movement. You know that you need to eat the right things. You know you need to breathe and get your heart rate up from time to time. You know if the structure of your body is off it will wear out faster. If you don’t know these things or you don’t know the specifics, you need to join us at one of our Advanced Health Classes. We hold them once a month in our office and go over what will really make you top notch.
