Fish Taco Time!
Okay, so it is not totally authentic. Still, I defy you to find a superior gringo-mex, fried fish taco ("tacko") that arrives on your plastic plate with less pretense and fluff.
The restaurant Tacko is just another excuse to hit your old drinking haunt on Fillmore, that boulevard of broken pick-ups and refusals we know and love as the "Triangle." Needless to say, Tacko sits comfortably opposite Gavin Newsom's Matrix and beside his wine cellar, Plump Jack.
