Caring for Our Creeks: East Bay Invited To Evening Gathering

Are you interested in your local creeks?

Would you like to help with the stewardship of your local watershed?

Do you care about keeping your creeks healthy and clean?

This is your chance to join in a fun, free community creek event!

The Walnut Creek Watershed Council has been bringing together communities from San Ramon to Concord to develop a common vision for healthy creeks since 2012.

We are hosting an evening gathering to introduce the community to local volunteer groups, including Friends of the Creeks, Friends of San Ramon Creek, the Lafayette Creeks Committee, Friend of Pleasant Hill Creek, and Save Mt Diablo. Learn about the many ways you can help care for your creeks!

Guest speaker Stephen Joseph will present beautiful new photos of the Walnut Creek Watershed and its many tributaries.

FREE Refreshments and desert! Doors open at 6:45 pm. Program begins at 7:00 pm

Walnut Creek Watershed “Caring for Our Creeks” Gathering in Pleasant Hill

DATE: Thursday, March 19th, 2015

TIME: 7:00 pm to 8:45 pm (Doors open at 6:45 pm. Program begins at 7 pm)

LOCATION: Pleasant Hill Community Center, Perera Pavillion, 320 Civic Drive, Pleasant Hill, CA 94523.

Directions:

Heading north or south on I-680, take the Willow Pass Road exit (exit 51). Head west on Sun Valley Blvd.

Continue past Sun Valley Mall. In 0.3 miles Sun Valley Blvd become Taylor Blvd.

Continue 0.4 miles on Taylor Blvd, then turn right on Civic Drive.

Civic Drive curves right to the parking lot for the Community Center, the large building visible from Taylor Road.
