A Writer's Place, a special series for writers sponsored by the Friends of the Lafayette Library and Learning Center, presents editor and veteran publisher Alan Rinzler.

About Alan Rinzler: "Alan Rinzler has been an acquiring editor and publisher since 1962, working with authors Toni Morrison, Tom Robbins, Shirley MacLaine, Hunter S. Thompson, Robert Ludlum, Andy Warhol, Clive Cussler, Irv Yalom, Bob Dylan, Jerzy Kosinski and others. He is Executive Editor at Jossey-Bass/Wiley in San Francisco. He lives in Berkeley and is always interested in discussing how the current turbulence and uncertainty in mainstream commercial book publishing has created what he believes to be a period of unprecedented opportunity and positive change for writers."
